Snøhetta’s prize-winning design was characterized by the jury as having strongly identifiable themes that tie the building to its culture and place while also presenting an unusual and unique expression that was in many ways new and innovative. The project developed a highly complex program into a simple general plan that integrated both a practical and intuitive sculptural approach to modeling the exterior form. Its low slung form became a link within the city rather than a divisive sculptural expression. Its accessible roof and broad, open public lobbies make the building a social monument rather than a sculptural one.

Slåke is a proud, small furniture factory from Hjelmeland, Norway. Since 1938 they have produced «Jærstolen» as a modern Norwegian tradition furniture. Scandinavian design, norwegian production and tree as basic material characteristics Slåke’s products. For Slåke furniture carpentry means care for the materials and quality.
Slåke celebrates their 75th anniversary with a vision to work on new classics in Nordic design. The team consists of young, innovative designers that safeguard the heritage and unites past and future. In this occasion they also wanted to refresh their visual identity.
Inspired by Scandinavian design traditions we created a minimalist expression to reinforce its focus on their products. The colors are inspired from the nature in Hjelmeland; -sun, sky, mountains, cropland, grass, sand and sea. As a counterbalance to an otherwise tight visual profile, the circle is used to provide a contrast in both shape and color.

Inspired by the city lights, Stefano Ughetti managed to deliver yet another impressive collection, marked by the influence of urban colors on both new and trademark models. A strong emphasis was given to knitwear, presented in a variety of patterns, textures and shades, while making the best of luxurious fabrics and construction. A shout out to the beautiful speckled effects which embody the sight of an urban environment by night.
Suiting is always one of the most appealing offerings from the Italian label, which manages to deliver a tailored take on casual models through its fitted blazers and low crotch trousers: this time around, beautiful tweed and heavy wool was used to portray a unique wintery feel.
